Small but pleasant. Shame the transport section wasn't open (my 4yr old wasn't impressed ). Check their website to see if everything is open.

This was a hidden gem me and my husband found whilst looking for something to do whilst staying in Devon.I was amazed at how much history there was inside this little place.Found some really interesting facts and saw some very old but yet unique pieces of history.I did feel old when I saw a monopoly set and PlayStation in one of the later cabinets of history.My only negative was about the school trip that was visiting. Kids running round and even adults sat out in the courtyard, blocking the entrances to other rooms.
Very interesting small museum. Friendly staff. We managed to spend quite an amount . On maps ,books etc.Definitely worth a visit.
Excellent value for money. Much bigger than expected with so much information to read. Well worth a visit. Only visited as the weather was poor but very pleased we did.
