Lovely church, good local venue for other activities
I do not wish to be coming across as overly critical on my return from the Friday night Bible Study which i wanted to give a try out for the first time.Every thing was lovely upon arrival and we were welcomed in a warm way.The praise n worship time was good for the soul and the structure of the meeting was good but once the study of the Word was underway I have to say it was a massive let down and to me a real missed opportunity to be an inclusive place for the unsaved and saved where the Word of God can be seen as understandable , simple in what the message of Christ is and which stirs up peoples hearts and lives and which initiates people in their relationship with God who hunger to and thirst to know more.I could not of been more bored and stiffled ( bogged down).Sadly Exodus 25 just didnr hit it for me , it was teasiously loathsome and stuffy to the point of feeling lost and stuffy.A Study made for theologians in all things Bibical for those wanting to get bogged down on cheribs and thrones and terminolagies that are incredibly tiresome and written to be understood by an incredibly small minoriry.I can only now really appreciate the Thursday night Bible Study we attend in town where at least we can come away with something to chew on and hopefully be challenged by.And what is very relevant for today.Its so important in my world living in the times our world finds itself in that the message is relevant in peoples lives which is the key for me personally which can ignite people and transport people in a Godly sway that brings Him the glory in His works amongst those He is calling.Please reconsider the Friday night theme and reasoning and please be a part of the task to bring the Gospel Alive and with meaning in the hearts of people.Its just to stuffy and its important that the space is comfortable to meet in.The upper space of the Church was unbareable to walk into .It felt like we were arriving into a care home where the heating was left on.I would suggest if the noise of traffic is too much for some that you move the meet down stairs.I do hope that my review here which is only regarding the Friday night Bible Study alone and should have no reflection on the main sunday services or any other factor.I pray that this reveiw may be seen in a posative and helpful light.The time is urgent today.The Gospel of Christ needs to be shared and passed through our communities where the real needs are ever increasing.ThanksRoman Saint Peters.
